Ryan Hunter-Reay also saw the track as a battle field as he and the yellow cars of Helio Castroneves and Simon Pagenaud traded places, back-and-forth. Hunter-Reay started 14th and ran in the top four consistently throughout the 200-lap race. Over the course of the race, the DHL crew was flawless in the pits and gave Hunter-Reay the car to advance nine positions and take home a fifth-place finish. The 2014 Indy 500 winner was credited with leading Lap 129.
